Shenzhen Academy of
Metrology and Quality Inspection (SMQ) (Shenzhen
Calibration Station of AQSIQ),is a non-profit and
integrative technical institute
founded
by General Administration of Quality Supervision,
Inspection, and Quarantine of People¡¯s Republic
of China and Shenzhen Municipal Government. SMQ
provides enterprises with services such as instrument
calibration, product quality inspection, certification,
training and consultation etc..SMQ,
authorized by Shenzhen
Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, also
perform some government function according to law,
such as verification, product quality supervision
and inspection, providing technical supports for
government administration in order to protect the
legitimate interest of the public.
From 1980, SMQ has been developed as an integrative
technical institute with high technical power, most
advanced testing equipments and various kinds of
specialty. SMQ now has more than 300 staff members,
two lab bases and 18 specialized labs. The testing
capacity of SMQ has up to 1330 testing items, and
1279 testing items has approved by China National
Accreditation Board of Laboratories (CNAL). SMQ
has set up 10 measurement specialities and 79 items
of public measurement standards including geometrical
quantity, mechanics, thermotechnics, electromagnetics,
radio, time and frequency, physical chemistry, optics,
acoustics, ionizing radiation, and also developed
more than 1000 parameters and 895 calibration/verification
items. The quality testing scope of SMQ covers 4000
parameters and 400 items of products including electronic
& information products, food, chemical products,
textiles and garments, light industrial products
and building materials etc..
In 1998, SMQ has passed the approval of CNAL to
be one of the earliest labs approved by CNAL in
China. Based on superior technical power, SMQ has
been authorized as several specialized inspection
station including designated testing lab for China
Compulsory Certificate (CCC), cognizing testing
institute of ¡°Water Soluble Coatings¡±
and ¡°Ecotypic Textile label¡± for
China Certification Committee for Environmental
Labeling Products, working station of ¡°Pure Natural
Fiber Content label¡± of China Fiber Inspection Bureau,
Shenzhen station of Furniture Quality Supervision
and Inspection of China National Light Industry
Committee, Integrative Cloth and Thread Supervision
and Inspection Station of Guangdong Province, Bicycle
Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Station
of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Quality Supervision
and Testing Station for EMC, Guangdong Quality Supervision
and Testing Station for Leather Products and Shenzhen
Quality Supervision and Testing Station for Construction
Materials.
